The SRA's Women-in-Reinsurance (WiRE) Sub-Committee celebrated International Women’s Day with a Charity, Networking and Afternoon Tea event, kindly sponsored by Lloyd's. Ms Mel Goddard, Underwriting Director, Lloyd’s Market Association was the Special Guest Speaker at the event and shared her experience working in a male dominated industry.
With the theme “press for progress”, she spoke about the changes that have taken place since she first joined the industry in 1978 and what needs to change today. After her talk, attendees enjoyed networking over afternoon tea during which close to SGD1,200 in funds were raised in aid of the Nokor Tep Women's Hospital in Cambodia.
