The SRA Technical Sub-Committee (TSC) presented an in-person seminar on "Transforming insurance for a greener future: Climate resilience & green transition” on 2 Aug 2024 in collaboration with and kindly hosted by Swiss Re. This seminar is part of a series of capacity-building programs that the TSC organizes to raise awareness among industry practitioners and promote the adoption of international best practices in Singapore.
In this 2-part seminar, we covered the following topics:
Part 1: Rising Waters, Risking Risks: Mitigating climate risk through data and analytics, where the speakers delved into the evolving landscape of climate risks, explored ways to advance mitigation efforts and strategies, and discussed how data and analytics can empower clients to understand, identify, measure, and mitigate climate-related risks effectively.
Part 2: Tailored solutions for greener transition, where the speakers discussed ways insurers can develop tailored products and services to effectively address challenges and opportunities in supporting sustainability.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to each of the speakers for sharing their knowledge generously and for making the seminar both informative and engaging.
We would also like to thank #SwissRe for hosting the seminar in their office and contributing to the event's success.
