Singapore Finance Minister to be Guest-of-Honour at 15th SIRC

Singapore Finance Minister Mr Heng Swee Keat will be the Official Keynote Speaker and Guest-of-Honour at the 15th Singapore International Reinsurance Conference (SIRC), with AIG President and CEO Mr Brian Duperreault as the Industry Keynote Speaker. Minister Heng, a core member of Singapore’s fourth-generation (‘4G’) leadership, chairs the tripartite Future Economy Council, and will add clout to the 15th SIRC whose theme is “Reinsurance Reloaded”.

Other confirmed speakers at the SIRC, expected to be largest insurance gathering of the year, include Munich Re global head of innovation Tom van den Bruelle, DBS Bank head of innovation and ecosystems Bidyut Dumra and ACR Capital Holdings group chief executive Bobby Heerasing.

The 15th SIRC, which will be held from 29 October to 1 November 2018 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, will feature a three-day conference programme packed with a mix of insightful presentations and stimulating panel discussions that will explore how the reinsurance industry, facing powerful winds of change — rising geopolitics, technological advancements, digital transformation, cyber threats, and external disruptors — can reshape and refresh itself to stay relevant and resilient amidst the rapidly changing industry landscape and ecosystem.
