23 February 1979

Original Objectives:

• To facilitate and encourage cooperation between member companies on technical matters of general interest, and the study and development of reinsurance; 
• To promote the education and training in all aspects of reinsurance so as to upgrade expertise in Singapore;  
• To represent members in matters affecting them in the conduct of their business vis-a-vis government bodies, commissions of enquiry, chambers of commerce and the like.
