The SRA held its second Global Leadership ‘Lunch-and-Learn’ Talk on 13 June 2019 with Mr Jon Hancock, Global Head of Performance Management of Lloyd’s sharing his perspectives on ‘GETTING AHEAD IN A CHANGING WORLD’. Organised by the SRA Education Sub-Committee, the Talk was kindly hosted at Lloyd’s Asia's premises at CapitaGreen, and attracted over 60 industry participants from 26 member companies who first mingled and networked over a light buffet lunch. In his talk, Mr Hancock stressed that adaptability was key to whether practitioners and companies alike can 'get ahead' and succeed in the ever changing and volatile market landscape. Notwithstanding the difficult market conditions, he shared many examples of how companies had successfully adapted their operating models by leveraging on the new technological advances. In the subsequent Q&A session that was moderated by Mr James Beedle, Convenor of the SRA Educational Sub-Committee, Mr Hancock responded candidly to the numerous questions on the great opportunities that lie ahead for the industry.
