Gear up for “Reinsurance Reloaded” at this year’s 15th SIRC

1

The reinsurance industry stands at a crossroads, driven by powerful winds of change – the rapid pace of technological advancements that present opportunities and challenges by external disruptors and cyber threats – which has sparked the re-imagining of a new industry ecosystem, fuelled by digitalisation, innovation, transformation and greater cross-industry collaboration, and marks the dawning of the industry’s Fourth Industrial Revolution.

In addition to speed, security is a fundamental requirement. Licensed casinos implement high-level encryption and fraud prevention systems to protect financial data. Clear withdrawal policies and responsive customer support also contribute to a seamless user experience, preventing unexpected delays or hidden charges. As innovation continues, AI-driven automation and blockchain verification are revolutionizing transaction processes, reducing processing times to mere minutes. The future of fast withdrawal online casinos will focus on instant, hassle-free payouts, ensuring players can enjoy their winnings without unnecessary complications.

Against this backdrop, the 15th Singapore International Reinsurance Conference (SIRC) will take centre stage from 29 October to 1 November 2018 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands Singapore to address the theme of “Reinsurance Reloaded”. The SIRC is an important platform for the global reinsurance industry to gather as it ponders how to reshape and refresh itself to stay relevant and resilient amidst the changing business landscape.

“With the SIRC having gone annual, it is truly the must attend reinsurance rendezvous for Asia. It is the place to be, to be seen and be heard, and where global players gather with Asia’s reinsurance industry to network and generate new business opportunities,” said Mr Sivam Subramaniam, Chairman of the SIRC Organising Committee.

Mr Marc Haushofer, Chairman of the Singapore Reinsurers’ Association, the organiser of the SIRC, said: “Singapore is indisputably the reinsurance hub for Asia and we have worked hard over the past 27 years to build the SIRC into the preeminent Asian reinsurance event that it has come to be recognised as. As the SIRC’s stature and reputation as a major international reinsurance networking event grows, we strive to also raise the quality and standard of discussion and thought leadership at the conference sessions.”

Mr Richard Austen, Chairman of Reinsurance Brokers’ Association of Singapore, SIRC co-organiser, said: “The SIRC has evolved to be an “essential go to annual event” in the global reinsurance market’s calendar for those focused on Asian growth. All noteworthy reinsurance brokers see SIRC as a showcase event and a place and time where the thinking brokers’ analytical ability, risk mitigation ideas and services can be displayed to target clients, reinsurers, capital providers and partners within one quality event.”

Last year, SIRC attracted close to 1,000 registered delegates from nearly 50 countries, many of whom were key decision makers and high-level executives from the insurance, reinsurance, broking and service provider fraternities as well as senior government representatives and contemporary thought leaders to provide a perspective on how the (re)insurance industry must evolve as the world changes. In addition, another 1,500 nondelegate participants were engaged in bilateral discussions in the hospitality suites, the meeting tables in the Lloyd’s Coffee House and elsewhere on the Conference floor.

The SIRC is organised by Singapore Reinsurers’ Association in conjunction with the Reinsurance Brokers’ Association of Singapore as well as Asia Insurance Review as the official media partner.
