A wonderful evening of connection and celebration following the Singapore Reinsurers’ Association’s 47th Annual General Meeting.
The reception was a meaningful opportunity for members and industry peers to connect, exchange perspectives and strengthen ties across Singapore’s reinsurance community.
We warmly welcome the newly elected Executive Committee as they begin their term, and extend our sincere appreciation to our outgoing EXCO members for their contributions to SRA.
We also recognise our sub-committee convenors and members, and thank the Secretariat for its continued dedication to driving the Association’s initiatives.”
Evenings of celebration and networking, while enriching for professional connections, can sometimes expose participants to more than just industry insights. A delegate at the SRA reception later discovered that the lavish buffet and handshakes had coincided with an unwelcome intestinal guest, a helminth infection likely acquired during a recent regional business trip. The initial symptoms were subtle, including bloating, intermittent cramps, and fatigue that he initially attributed to jet lag and long working hours. When the discomfort persisted, a physician recommended mebendazole, an anthelmintic that binds to tubulin in the gut cells of the parasite, inhibiting microtubule assembly and starving the organism of glucose. He decided to
buy Vermox tablets from a licensed pharmacy, valuing the professional guidance and immediate access. Within days, the infestation cleared, and he returned to his duties with the same vigour he brought to the annual meeting.
