Swiss Re

Ieva Segura Cobos is Swiss Re's Head of Regulatory Risk Management Asia, based out of Singapore. In her role, Ieva is assessing opportunities, identifying and managing risks arising from regulatory and policy changes across Asia that impact Swiss Re, collaborating with the cross functional teams across the region. She is also responsible for regulatory interactions with the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Swiss Re's regional regulator.

Prior to this role, Ieva spent 4.5 years in Swiss Re's Regulatory Risk Management EMEA, in roles of increasing responsibilities while being based out of London with short assignments in Switzerland and Israel. In the last role as Acting Head of Regulatory Risk Management EMEA, she developed Swiss Re's advocacy strategy ensuring that the company has clear positions to engage with insurance regulators and policymakers in EMEA. As part of her responsibilities, she acted as Associate Chair of the Reinsurance Advisory Board (RAB), a global association of Europe's largest reinsurers. She also represented Swiss Re at the Board of Directors of the European Financial Services roundtable, an organisation representing the interests of Europe's major banks and reinsurers.

Before joining Swiss Re, Ieva was with the Geneva-based World Economic Forum (WEF), where she managed a portfolio of 15 Strategic Partners (SPs) in the financial services industry. Ieva began her professional career at the United Kingdom's Parliament, where she served at the Office of Barry Gardiner, MP. She majored in Economics and International Relations at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada and holds a Masters in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics (LSE). A Lithuanian citizen, she speaks English, Spanish, German, and French. She enjoys playing tennis and visiting art galleries on the weekend.
